This is a Next.js 14.x project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Live demo: https://flowbite-next-starter.vercel.app/

It also includes:

Getting started

Next.js requires Node.js.

Install the dependencies:

npm i

Now you can run the development server:

npm run dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying app/(dashboard)/content.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

Add flowbite-react to next on your own

Follow these steps to add flowbite-react to a next project without cloning this repo.

Requirements

How-to

Create a new next starter project:

npx create-next-app@latest --typescript
cd my-app

Install tailwindcss and flowbite-react:

npm i --save-dev autoprefixer postcss
npm i --save tailwindcss flowbite-react

Create postcss.config.cjs:

module.exports = {
  plugins: {
    autoprefixer: {},
    tailwindcss: {},
  },
};

Create tailwind.config.ts:

import flowbite from "flowbite/plugin";
import type { Config } from "tailwindcss";

const config: Config = {
  content: ["./app/**/*.{ts,tsx}", "./node_modules/flowbite-react/lib/**/*.js"],
  plugins: [flowbite],
};

export default config;

And replace the contents of app/globals.css by:

@tailwind base;
@tailwind components;
@tailwind utilities;

Start using flowbite-react inside any app/**/page.tsx!

"use client";

import { Alert } from "flowbite-react";

export default function MyPage() {
  return <Alert color="info">Alert!</Alert>;
}

About flowbite

Flowbite is an open source collection of UI components built with the utility classes from Tailwind CSS that you can use as a starting point when coding user interfaces and websites.

In this repository, we setup flowbite-react for you with examples of how to use the React components in app/(dashboard)/content.tsx.
