If everything seems stable enough this is a nice candidate for a release

Changelog

  • Add validation layers and fix validation issues (waiting PR on WGPU)
  • Remove unecessary depth submission
  • Enable ambient light by default

Known Issues
Refresh rate changes cause lots of errors when processing inputs (e.g., changing between 80Hz and 120Hz from SteamVR while VRScreenCap is running)

If everything seems stable enough this is a nice candidate for a release

Changelog

  • Always force mono rendering for ambient light background (avoids stereo disparity issues #24 )
  • Allow the user to change stereo mode for the desktop view from the icon tray
  • Start submitting depth information together with each frame (could improve reprojection in some runtimes)

Known Issues

What's Changed

  • Settings can now be changed through a JSON file, they should apply instantly on file save (a GUI is provided for live editing by samfisherirl)
  • Scale now corresponds to the virtual screen width in meters
  • Support for DX12 streams coming from ReshadeVRExport which enables the use of
  • Added in-app recentering (both with and without horizon-lock)
    • Can be toggled from the tray icon menu
    • Can be recentered by holding the controllers near the headset and looking at the desired direction:
      • 1 Controller: recenters normally
      • 2 Controllers: disables the horizon-lock
