As emerged in the discussion in #294 (comment) it would make sense to do some generic type-checking for plugin property values in

AsTeRICS/ARE/middleware/src/main/java/eu/asterics/mw/are/DeploymentManager.java

Line 1079 in 56f59f8

runtimeComponentInstance.setRuntimePropertyValue(key, value);

in order to avoid duplicated checks in each plugin.
