Remove the "current" documentation

The idea was that this contains snapshots of the documentation from what is currently under development. As it seems, this was simply never really updated, so unless we can somehow manage to integrate this into CI (and have some kind of nightly documentation build), it just makes no sense. Resolves issue #1481
