AWS IAM Identity Center Integration

1. Is it possible to use the AWS IAM Identity Center (AWS SSO) as authentication into the CloudFront logging web console?

2. Is it possible to use the AWS IAM Identity Center (AWS SSO), via the external proxy as authentication into OpenSearch?

I know it is possible to use the AWS SSO as authentication into OpenSearch, as I already have this for a public domain using a SAML application, and I know that this also works for a domain that resides inside a vpc, with the proxy enabled, but is only accessible from a browser/connection from within the same vpc. What I don't know for certain yet is being able to authenticate into OpenSearch using the IAM Identity Center from outside of the vpc, via the proxy.

So it looks like this isn't possible due to the domain and proxy urls. It can't integrate with the IAM Identity Center in this manner. You can continue to use the Cognito authentication though. There are other possible solutions though like using Direct Connect or a VPN.
