Set/Update source bucket

Hello,
I tried to update the S3 source bucket of the solution via the environmental variables of the "input-validate" lambda, however it seems that this does not update the trigger configured through the CF template.
Is there a solution to this? If not, this would be a nice feature to have, since I want to use an already existing S3 bucket as source bucket for the solution.
