Lambda Annotations: returning alternative HTTP status codes?

Hi! First off, many thanks for your work on the Lambda Annotations framework, it's been a breeze working with so far.

I'm creating an API and I'm looking for a way to return alternative HTTP codes in exceptional situations. Consider the example API below of what I am trying to achieve:

public class ListApi
{
    private readonly DynamoDBContext database;

    public ListApi(DynamoDBContext database)
    {
        this.database = database;
    }
    
    // ...
    
    [LambdaFunction]
    [HttpApi(LambdaHttpMethod.Get, "/lists/{id}")]
    public async Task<TodoList> Get(string id)
    {
        var list = await database.LoadAsync<TodoList>(id);
        if (list == null)
        {
            throw new HttpException(404, "Some description");
        }

        return list;
    }
}

Simply returning a non-null list works great and produces a HTTP 200 with a serialized JSON body.
Is there any way to e.g. return a 404 response?

For future readers: I haven't found any way to achieve this other than creating and returning a APIGatewayHttpApiV2ProxyResponse. Source.

@danielsunnerberg Currently Lambda Annotations does not support return alternative HTTP status codes out of the box. I have discussed this with the team and any updates around it would either be posted here or in the repo as separate announcement.
