It seems like

bcash/lib/script/common.js

Line 388 in f9315a4

| exports.flags.VERIFY_COMPRESSED_PUBKEYTYPE

checks for pubkey compressedness, which puts bcash at odds with other nodes on the network and results in bcash banning them.
