To ease in trying to build robots and/or schedules and knowing what variables exist in the application which could be used for conditions, the following flow has been created which will allow you to securely expose variable data.
If you do not know how to import flows into Wink Node Red, be sure to view the Importing and Updating Flows readme file first.
The Expose Variables flow can be found at /WinkRedNode/Flows/BMeissen Sample Flows/SampleExposeVariables.json
Create a new tab in Wink Node Red and import the Expose Variables json file into the new tab. Double click the Edit Me!
flow and remove the preceding slash
from the appropriate data you want to see. Caution: If you uncomment the first option which exposes all variable data, you will be able to see all of your
username and password information. While I've added a user ID / password check prior to being able to load the page, it's recommended
to re-add the two //
slashes to re-comment the line out when you're finished, then re-Deploy.
JSON data doesn't show nicely in raw http form. To make it easier to understand
what you're looking at, select all the data and copy it to your clipboard. Next open a new tab and browse to http://www.jsoneditor.org -
paste the results into the panel on the left, then click Prettify
Totally optional, but if you have a lot of data sometimes it's easier to copy the prettified JSON and paste it into a more powerful text editor like Notepad++ for Windows.
