1.1.3 Settings

The Settings page provides various checkboxes and sliders that allow the user to set and load values to/from user linaro’s Bitcoin and Bitseed configuration files. There are also two buttons on this page:

  • Update settings
    • This writes the values of all parameters into the Bitcoin and Bitseed configuration files. Changes do not take effect until Bitcoin is restarted. The usual sequence is that the user updates their settings. If they are not satisfied, they can change them again at the UI. Once satisfied, they need to restart bitcoind for the changes to take effect.
  • Restart Bitcoin
    • Once the user is satisfied with the values of the parameters entered into the UI and has updated the settings, they can restart bitcoin by pressing this button.
