How to capture Boltobserv in OBS

This is a short how-to on capturing the Boltobserv radar with transparency in OBS. You will need to use version 0.2.1 or higher for this to work.

1) Disable radar window and enable transparent radar background

Edit your config file (config.override.json5 in the same file as config.json5) and change the flowing values:

• Set window -> disable to true
• Set browser -> transparent to true
• Make sure browser -> ports -> static is still set to 36364

2) Launch Boltobserv and OBS

The radar window should look like this:

This is normal. If it asks you if you want to install or update config files, do so.

3) Add a "Browser" source in OBS

Use http://127.0.0.1:36364 as the URL, and do not forget to empty the "Custom styles" box at the bottom of the dialog.

Important: For the best anti-aliasing, set the browser size twice as large (for example, 600x600 for a 1080p steam) and scale the source down in OBS.
