Hi @linusdm, thank you that's a great question. There are several scenarios where an Android App acting like an Ockam Node would be useful:
This is technically possible today using the Android NDK and Ockam's rust libraries. But eventually we plan to make this much easier by having idiomatic Android libraries in Java / Kotlin. If you have a specific use case in mind, I would love to learn more about it, my email is |

Just a quick question: are mobile (android) devices considered IoT devices? Is it possible to integrate a "regular" (android) app with the Ockam SDK's?
Most of the time these devices are tied to some personal account, but in other (more corporate) situations these devices can also be used in a shared environment where it acts more like an IoT devices. In these cases an enrollment process is more suitable than an authentication scheme tied to a personal identity. That's why I was wondering whether this would be a use-case for Ockam.
Would be great if someone could elaborate on this, or reference an example.
