You will need the rabbitmq-c, and rabbitmq-codegen libs. See the rabbitmq-c README for other pre-reqs.
Build and checkout in the project root.

pushd rabbitmq-c
autoreconf -i
./configure
make
Once deps are built...
./bootstrap
./configure
make
Arrange for a RabbitMQ to be running on 'localhost'
In one terminal run
[terminal1]$ ./examples/consumer localhost 5672 amq.topic test
In another terminal,
[terminal2]$ ./examples/producer localhost 5672 amq.topic test "hello world"
You should see output similar to the following in terminal 1
"hello world"
