Is essence still maintained?

It looks like essence has a problem with the content of the following pages:

It looks like these are specifically problems with these pages?
At least, that's the only place I've had a problem so far. But of course, I'm only using a few feeds so far.

In general essence is really good and does exactly what it is supposed to. Ingenious!

If the project is still being maintained, it would be great to have a look and see if you can fix the problem or if there is a workaround.

@Moosheimer what's the status on this? Have you switched to something else or have you patched this yourself?

@vanniktech
Neither. I have omitted all pages that have a similar problem.
If the developer (Carmine DiMascio) can solve the problem, it would be really great if there was a new version.

I really like Essence and would hate to switch to anything else.
I hope Carmine is still interested in the project and brings it up to date.

I've started taking some interest in this project. I have a speed reading app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vanniktech.speedreading&hl=en&gl=US and a lot of users have requested to read text by url. This library solves the missing piece for me. It seems promising and depending how much interest there is, there is a chance that I will be interested in tweaking it. However this will most probably be in a fork (unless the changes are welcome here) as I have already ported the entire code base to be Kotlin Multiplatform. I am already using this library on iOS since I have the same app also on the app store https://apps.apple.com/tr/app/speed-reader-for-speed-reading/id6447472154
