Hi, first things first:- RethinkDNS v0.5.5n (Github) I'm testing with an IPv6-only mobile carrier. On RethinkDNS, I set Other DNS to my own DNS64 DoH server, under Configure > Network, I set IP version to Auto. When I open a banking app, it times out. When I browse to https://1.1.1.1 it says connection not secure and fails to load. Now if I stop RethinkDNS and force close it, set Private DNS to the same DNS64 server, my banking app works and opening 1.1.1.1 in the browser redirects to https://one.one.one.one and displays the page as per normal indicating that CLAT is working on the phone that is on an IPv6-only mobile carrier. Does RethinkDNS not work in such scenarios ? I wonder if anyone on T-Mobile(IPv6-only) has similar issues like this.. Any help/hint is appreciated. |

Following up, did some tests again, seems like RethinkDNS Wireguard proxy doesn't work at all when Wireguard tunnel and DNS addresses are IPv6 addresses. RethinkDNS just blocks them. I duplicated the WG config and then set the Address and DNS to IPv4 addresses instead and now the Wireguard proxy works. IP version is set to Auto so not sure why RethinkDNS doesn't use the VPN's IPv6 DNS for DNS resolution. |
