Road and Lane Closures for March 27, 2017 through April 2, 2017
Gainesville, FL – Below are the City of Gainesville traffic impacts scheduled for March 27, 2017 through April 2, 2017.
Depot Avenue: There will be temporary lane closures between SE 7th Street and Williston Road to allow for utility upgrades in preparation for the upcoming roadway construction project which will feature a roundabout at the SE 7th Street intersection, creek crossing upgrades, brick sidewalks, and decorative lighting. This project is anticipated to be constructed between March 2017 and March 2018 and will utilize full closures within the project limits to expedite the schedule and provide better safety.
Northeast 3rd Avenue: SW 3rd Avenue will have lane closures from NE 2nd Street to NE 3rd Street for paving beginning on Tuesday, March 28, and expected to be complete by Thursday, March 30.
Northwest 1st Avenue: There will be lane closures with one-way traffic between 16th and 17th Streets and between 19th and 20th Streets for a Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency project. NW 1st Avenue will be open between 17th and 19th Streets. This project is expected to be complete in September 2017.
Northwest 3rd Avenue: There will be temporary lane closures between NW 12th Street and NW 13th Street to allow for utility upgrades, milling, and repaving. This project is expected to be complete during April 2017.
Northwest 14th Street: NW 14th Street remains closed from north of NW 1st Avenue to the roundabout at NW 3rd Avenue. This work is to install a new sewer along with water, gas and other utility upgrades associated with the construction of The Standard development project. This project is expected to be complete during April 2017.
Northwest 18th Street: NW 18th Street will be partially blocked between NW 1st Avenue and NW 2nd Avenue for the construction of One College Park Apartments. This project is expected to be complete during February 2018.
Southeast 6th Terrace: SW 6th Terrace will have lane closures from SE 4th Avenue to SE 5th Avenue for paving on Monday, March 27.
All lane and road closures are subject to change due to unforeseen conditions, such as poor weather.
