Customer responsibility:

Adequate hardware for the attendees.
List of the Attendees, E-Mail Address, Role (i.e. sysadmin, developer, etc).

It is critical to know who is attending for the best experience.

We are going to verify that ALL attendees are setup properly, and the facilities will not cause issues.

On Windows

1. download or clone the repository locally
2. open powershell as administrator
3. navigate to the chef-preflight folder
4. execute ./windows_preflight.ps1
5. execute ./http_preflight.ps1
6. address any issues

On Linux/OSX

1. download or clone the repository locally
2. open term or shell
3. navigate to the chef-preflight folder
4. execute ./osx_preflight.sh on a mac
5. execute ./unix_preflight.sh on linux
6. address any issues

Laptop:

• Users will be required to have admin rights on their local laptop so they can install Chef Workstation in class.

Users should be able to connect to the following websites from their local laptop.

• supermarket.chef.io

Users should be able to access public IP addresses provided by the instructor for RDP and ssh.
