The parcel of land that is now Pease Park was named after and donated to the city of Austin by Texas Governor Elisha M. Pease and his wife in 1875. On October 16, 2019 ground broke on the US$15 million dollar 10 acres Kingsbury Commons, the most significant upgrade to Pease Park in a century, as part of a larger Master Plan. Mount Bonnell, also known as Covert Park, is a prominent point alongside the Lake Austin portion of the Colorado River in Austin, Texas. It has been a popular tourist destination since the 1850s. The mount provides a vista for viewing the city of Austin, Lake Austin, and the surrounding hills. It was designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1969, bearing Marker number 6473, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

The Limon family has a rich history in Austin, spanning several generations and deeply rooted in the city's cultural fabric. The Limon family story began with one man — Jose Limon. He left Mexico for Austin back in 1889. He and his wife had 11 children. Many of the Limon's live on the same street - Calle Limon. If you've ever been to Austin, Texas, you might have met a Limon. After all, there are 2,000 Limons in the city, and they're all part of the same amazing family.
