Write unit/integration tests to achieve an acceptable level of test coverage going forward. Doing this will achieve:

  • Sufficient ability to test future features
  • Refactoring only where neccessary
  • Cleaner code on an old codebase

Effort estimation on this issue is high. This means we should split it out into sub-issues for writing test coverage in individual areas of the codebase.
