What is Hacktoberfest ?

Hacktoberfest is a month-long global celebration of open source software, run by DigitalOcean in partnership with Intel, AppWrite, and DeepSource, with a strong focus on encouraging contributions to open source projects.

It is the biggest Open Source event that encourages newbies to participate in Open Source and create their 1st meaningful Pull Request.

How can I join ?

1. Create a GitHub account (If you don't have one)
2. Register for Hacktoberfest
3. Find Hacktoberfest participating repository to contribute

How can I contribute ?

You can

• contribute to good first issue(s)
• fix bugs
• add new features

I don't know coding, how can I participate in Hacktoberfest ?

Note You can still contribute to Hacktoberfest, without writing a single line of code. You can

• Improve Documentation
• Fix broken links
• Fix typos
• Contribute animations/graphics
