Goal: Understand a bit more about the options for desktop publishing

  • Understand how desktop publishing with Github Actions could be possible

Features:

  • Deploy with Rust (use slint GUI framework)
  • Desktop publishing with Github Actions ?
  • Store authentication as an auth token (look for a macOS or cross platform key storage solution)
  • Open a custom scheme link to open the app? (could be hardcoded keys)

Consider whether we should use a container like Tauri for desktop publishing, or if there is a general purpose binary wrapping library for desktop publishing.
