During the build of custom app I wasn't able to find the link to storybook but it would have been really useful.

How about adding a link to the Custom Applications sidebar documentation page?

Hey Philipp, thank you for creating the ticket! We will try to identify now what could be the best place in our docs for linking to the UI-Kit.
