Hi I am trying to look at my identifications in peptide shaker, first issue is the searchGUI zip folder is not automatically creating a .psdb file despite ticking the box to do so, and I get the following error when trying to create a new project with the searchGUI output files.

Wed Apr 05 12:31:19 AEST 2023 An error occurred: Cannot invoke "com.compomics.util.experiment.identification.matches.SpectrumMatch.getPeptideAssumptionsMap()" because "spectrumMatch" is null

I have attached the bug report and log files for the error.

PeptideShaker 2.2.20 log.txt

The first thing you can try is increasing the amount of memory given to PeptideShaker. This should reduce the chance of this error occurring. You can do this via the PeptideShaker Welcome dialog > Settings & Help > Settings > Java Settings > Memory. The more memory you can give to PeptideShaker the better.
