Condensing two weeks of updates into 1. It's been a busy week in addition to general end times vibe of 2020.
We started out with setback. The bug fix for legacy amino aimed aimed for stargate-2 failed to fix the correct code path.
Right now we have the stargate-2 testnet with working state sync.(We aren't aware of any node operators successfully using state yet.)
Thing are looking up for stargate-3. IBC is very close to working fully working. A new fix for legacy amino transaction broadcast is in the works.
We expect that most integrations with Cosmos can be tested against stargate-3 and we will be able to finally certify the existing ecosystem as Stargate ready.

- Light client evidence handling: Last week, we completed ADR 59 which covers an updated lifecycle for all evidence, including light client evidence. Implementation is now underway.
- Web-socket optimizations: This leads to more a stable amount of
txsper block and greater throughput.
- Work continues in preparation of the
cosmovisordemo that should take place on the 18th of September. cosmovisorbinary can now be installed withget github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/cosmovisor/cmd/cosmovisor.- Small improvements to error handling.
- Work on the relayer continues in http://github.com/ovrclk/relayer/pull/278
- Client creation and update working. Debugging handshake issues
- Fixed a number of small upstream IBC encoding issues
- Stargate office Hours on Discord
- Validator support for new Stargate-2 testnet
