Issue with Git CI

Hi, Sorry for disturbing you... Since a few minutes, while trying to run CI tests on a PR (ctapipe 0.19), the workflows fail while trying to install the dependencies; in particular, the logs are like this:

Hi @Elisa-Visentin

The issue seems to be that one of the dependencies of ctapipe releases a broken package that is missing metadata, we are seeing the same in our CI.

I will try to figure out which package it is.

Ok thank you very much @maxnoe ! I will try to fix an older setuptools version and check if this solves the issue

Yes, this is definitely this issue: pypa/setuptools#4480 (also this pypa/setuptools#4482)

Thank you again. Limiting setuptools version to <71 fixed the issue. And (for once) it is not my fault 😅
