## Introducción
Bienvenido/a a la tercera prueba de usuario de `vaccineff`. Su contribución
durante esta prueba es muy importante para el equipo de desarrollo del paquete.
`vaccineff` es un paquete `R` con herramientas para calcular la efectividad
vacunal ($VE$ por sus siglas en inglés), y métricas asociadas a la vacunación.
Durante los últimos meses, hemos refactorizado el paquete para precisar
los algoritmos de estimación y mejorar la experiencia del usuario, reduciendo la
cantidad de pasos que conducen a estimar la $VE$. Esta prueba de usuario está
diseñada para evaluar la funcionalidad, usabilidad y documentación del
paquete, así como detectar errores provenientes del proceso de refactorización.
## Instrucciones
Para iniciar por favor cargue el paquete y el conjunto de datos de prueba
ejecutando los comandos que se muestran a continuación.

Esta tabla contiene información de una epidemia simulada de un virus respiratorio ocurrida en 2044 sobre una población hipotética, compuesta por 100.000 habitantes, que recibió
dos dosis de una vacuna para disminuir el riesgo de muerte. Sobre esta población se realizó seguimiento por 1 año, entre el 1 de enero y 31 de diciembre de 2044.
En el conjunto de datos se presenta la información desagregada de primera y segunda dosis (`vaccine_date1`, `vaccine_date2`, `vaccine1` y `vaccine1`) para cada uno de los participantes, junto con información demográfica relevante (`sex` y `age`). Todos los participantes tienen asignado un `id` anónimo, como es usual en este tipo de estudios. Adicionalmente, se presentan las fechas de dos desenlaces, muerte asociada a la enfermedad respiratoria en cuestión (`death_date`) y muerte por otras causas `death_other_causes`. El tiempo de respuesta inmune que se asume tras la vacuna es de 15 días.
### Objetivos
Su tarea es estimar la $VE$ de la segunda dosis aplicada para evitar la ocurrencia de muerte por enfermedad respiratoria y analizar los resultados.
En su proceso de análisis debe desarrollar las siguientes dos estrategias:
1. Estimación directa sin emparejamiento
2. Estimación con emparejamiento para controlar por potenciales factores de confusión asociados a las características propias de los sujetos. En este punto recuerde evaluar el efecto de distintas formas de emparejamiento (características exactas "Exact" vs. características cercanas "Nearest")
**Finalmente, reporte la efectividad al final del periodo de seguimiento y a 90 y 180 días desde el inicio del seguimiento, y justifique cuál es la estimación de la $VE$ después de la segunda dosis para muerte por enfermedad respiratoria**.

### Desarrollo de la prueba
Para el desarrollo de esta prueba cuenta con 30 minutos.
### Discusión
Al finalizar la etapa de desarrollo, el instructor guiará la discusión de
los resultados. Los participantes socializarán brevemente los hallazgos, y los
desafíos y preguntas surgidas durante la ejecución. Para esto se cuenta con 20 minutos.
### Encuesta y retroalimentación
Al finalizar, usted deberá diligenciar la encuesta enviada a su correo previamente. Este proceso no le tomará más de 10 minutos. Gracias!
