General

Continuation and extension of the City2RVT plugin as part of the research project "LandBIM" (01.08.2019 to 31.07.2021, HTW Dresden, Faculty of Geoinformation). The following functions have been added:

  • Import XPlanung-file: Import of XPlanung data (data of urban land use planning)
  • Exports XPlanung to IFC: Own IFC exporter with the possibility to filter data to be exported
  • Modify/Hide Layer in view: Tool for showing and hiding imported layers by theme complexes
  • Properties/Properties to edit: Display, editing and storage of factual data as a clearer alternative to "shared parameters"
  • Management of property data in Revit "data storages"

Import XPlanung data

Via XPlanung_Logothe , data from XPlanung, i.e. urban land use planning data, can be imported into the BIM authoring software Autodesk Revit.

Requirements

The following requirements must be met or present:

  • XPlanung file in *.gml format
  • Autodesk Revit project, where the project base point must be in the project area of the XPlanung file (roughly enough)
Hint: You can use our georeferencing tool for that (tool guide).

User Interface

After calling the button "XPlanung" the following GUI opens:

GUI_general

Please proceed as follows:

  1. Browse: open the XPlanung-GML file
  2. Layer Selection: Select the layers you want to import. (Hint: at least one layer)
Please note that you can use the buttons "Select All" or "Clear All" for faster selection.
  3. [Optional] Drape on Terrain: (Note: Only available if a terrain is already imported!) Via this function the XPlanung data will be draped on the Terrain.
If there is no terrain, the layers are not draped and will be placed on (Revit) acutal defined zero height.
  4. [Optional] Spatial Filter: If you want to use only a selected range. For this you only have to check the selection box (Use Spatial Filter). Then you can choose between "Circle" or "Square". Now input the desired value.
  5. Import: Finish the import.

Manage Properties

All imported areas / lines have property data at their disposal.
Via the Icon:Icon_Manage_Properties you can request the (XPlanung / GML) properties of the selected object.

Example request:

Please note:

  • you can see only the properties of the selected object
  • manipulate already existing properties
  • add & remove properties
