.SH DESCRIPTION
Brzdm is a lightweight login/display manager for X11, derived from \fIslim\fP,
which allows the invocation of a graphical session secured by username and
password entries, as well as, optional secure key and signature verification.
Brzdm selects desktop sessions using \fI/usr/share/xsessions\fP, \fI/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.*\fP, and the \fIsessions\fP entry in the config file \fB/etc/brzdm.conf\fP.

.SH STARTING BRZDM AT BOOT
Please refer to your Operating System documentation, to make \fBbrzdm\fP
automatically startup after the system boots.
For installations with \fBbrzctl\fP as the \fBrc.d or init.d service manager\fP; issue the following commands:

brzctl enable xdm brzdm

brzctl set xdm desktop <xfce, mate, kde, etc.>

brzctl start xdm
.IP

For installations with \fBopenrc\fP as the \fBinit.d service manager\fP; issue the following commands:

sed -ire 's/^DISPLAYMANAGER=.*$/DISPLAYMANAGER="brzdm"/g' /etc/conf.d/xdm

rc-update add xdm default

rc-update start xdm

.SH CONFIGURATION
Configuration is stored in the /etc/brzdm.conf file. For a detailed explanation
of each option, see the comments inside the file.

When started, enter your username and password in the input window;

Special usernames:

exit \fBbrzdm\fP and return to tty console mode.

F5 -- halt
Shutdown your computer.

Reboot your computer.

(unsafe, unless your computer is properly configured)
