How to use Synergy

Authenticating with your Destiny account

Authenticating your Destiny account with a third-party application means that you are granting permission for the application to use your profile data such as: progression, inventory items, friend lists, clan roster etc. Giving access to third-party solutions allows for players to organise and change their profile in various ways.

This does NOT mean that the API can be used in malicious ways; Bungie implements various methods to counteract bad actors. Think of the API as a read/change-only middleman between your profile data and a third-party application i.e. this means that the API is not able to delete items from your profile.

  1. To Authenticate with your Destiny account navigate to the home page of D2 Synergy
  2. Click "Authorize with Bungie.net"
  3. You should now see the next page, of which displays a selection of platforms. Select your corresponding platform.
  4. Follow the sign-in instructions on-screen and it will redirect you back to D2 Synergy.

From this point on Synergy will load all of your profile data like progression and inventory items.

Questions and Answers

Does Synergy store my platform information such as my password?
No. As a third-party application, it is not able to even acquire those details as they are handled in a completely different place.

I found a bug/issue or I have a feature I would like to suggest. What do I do?
You can submit an issue on the issues page for any questions, bugs, and feature suggestions that you may have.
