Topic Prompts
The prompts were designed as the guideline to create contents for the display system. The topics can be applied to different templates, and are flexible for the instructors to design each assignment or lesson to be delivered in all kinds of media or materials. The purpose is to develop a deeper understanding on the subject, and a sense of empathy when identifying with your own life experiences.
The topics revolve around languages, cultures, and identities, speaking to the identity of the Askwith Kenner global languages and cultures room. The system is designed to serve as a safe and an inviting space for guests to share stories, their experiences, and thoughts regardless of where they came from. It is to connect people through languages and shared culture, furthermore, you can create new connections across all diversities in how you design your contents to prompt the interaction.
Design Process on how these prompts work: First, briefly introduce the topic, and provide some key questions and observation focus for some research and thinking based on the topic. The form for these pre-study is flexible for the instructors to design each assignment or lesson to be delivered in all kinds of media or materials. The purpose is to develop a deeper understanding on the subject, and a sense of empathy when identifying with your own experiences. Then, the Design Prompts will provide some tips for shaping your content to go on the according display.
