We take the security of CheckMate seriously. If you have discovered a security vulnerability in CheckMate, we appreciate your help in disclosing it to us in a responsible manner.

To report a security issue, please use the GitHub Security Advisory "Report a Vulnerability" tab.

When reporting an issue, please provide the following information:

• Component(s) affected
• A description of the vulnerability
• Steps to reproduce the issue
• Possible impacts of the vulnerability

Please do not disclose the vulnerability publicly until we've had a chance to address it.

We will acknowledge your email within 48 hours, and will send a more detailed response within 96 hours indicating the next steps in handling your report. After the initial reply to your report, we will endeavor to keep you informed of the progress towards a fix and full announcement, and may ask for additional information or guidance.
