Oxidizing Taquito

The ecosystem needs a Rust-lang equivalent of Taquito, and tezos-rust-sdk appears to be abandoned.

What do y'all think about rewriting Taquito in Rust (compiled to WASM) with a thin API layer in JS to support the existing API?
In case you're not aware, it's relatively easy to expose Rust to JS via tools like wasm-bindgen.
