Description: To enhance user experience within the Elements-X messaging application, I propose an option in the settings that allows users to open chats starting from the last missed message rather than the most recent message. This feature would prevent the need to scroll back through conversations to find where they last left off, particularly in active group chats or when catching up after a period of inactivity.
Justification: Many users experience inconvenience when they open a chat only to find themselves at the newest message, missing the context of the conversation that occurred since they last checked. This feature is similar to the default behavior in Telegram, which has proven effective and user-friendly. Implementing this in Elements-X could significantly improve the app's usability and align it with user expectations for modern messaging apps.
Potential Benefits:
Implementation Consideration: This could be an optional setting that users can enable or disable based on their preference, ensuring that it caters to a diverse user base with varying needs and habits.
I believe this feature would make a substantial positive impact on the Elements-X user interface and overall user experience.
