Description

  • As a user
  • I want to distinguish messages I sent in a room (not DM) from messages sent by other people in the room list.
  • So that You must be displayed instead of the user name

When logged in with benoitx, this is the rendering:

image

You must be displayed instead of benoitx.

For DM, there is no prefix, so no change needed.

Notes:

  • the decision has been taken to implement this in Element Android, but I cannot find out where.
  • WhatsApp and probably other apps are doing this.
  • Waiting for product confirmation (CC @mxandreas , @amshakal ) before creating tasks in EXA and EXI.

Acceptance criteria

  • You is displayed in the room list if the current user has sent the latest message.
