Your use case

When unfamiliar usernames are inviting you to unfamiliar or generic rooms (or spaces), it would help if a little more information was available for preview.

At present, the following are shown:

  • the display name and mxid of the inviting user
  • the display name and avatar of the room

What would be useful to have:

  • the mxid of the room, ideally also: creation date, creator, topic, number of members, and even a preview view of the room if it is publicly available
  • the clickable list of rooms that we have in common with the inviter user (so that we could contact the user to clarify why we were invited)
  • ideally some former rooms we had in common with the inviter user, including direct messages

Have you considered any alternatives?
