For instance, the name “Ascension” Bible comes from one such suggestion by James B. Jordan to render the Hebrew word `olah as “ascension” rather than “burnt offering”. </div><div class="ip">At the moment, most of the current text is borrowed from the World English Bible (WEB) which is a Public Domain modern translation of the 1909 American Standard Version. (For more information about the World English Bible, please visit WorldEnglishBible.org). Any alteration from the WEB Bible is currently indicated by <span class="bdit">bolded</span> text. For instance, in Genesis 8:20, the word <span class="bdit">ascensions</span> is bolded, since it is alternate rendering of “burnt offerings”. All such key Biblical term alternatives can be found in the Glossary at the end of this Bible. </div>
