How can I edit .raw files, I have searched many times for a software to make my music files but can't find one with is 16khz 8bit Mono PCM and which give a .raw file.
I use the popular free program Audacity to export raw files.
When opening a track in Audacity, a stereo track may be converted to mono by selecting the tracks dropdown, and then selecting "mix stereo down to mono" in the list of mix options.
In the bottom left corner, you may select the output bitrate, you should use 16000.
Finally, to export PCM audio, select File->Export->Export Audio.
You should now see a file browser. For the header option, select Raw (header-less). For the encoding, select Signed 8-bit PCM.
8-bit signed PCM is an uncommon format nowadays, but it's what the GBA sound chip uses.
