Custom x-axis formatting for charts

Description

Currently you can use yFmt to set the correct format for axis and tooltip labels.

When you use a date axis though, you can't use xFmt to override the styles because the date axis can't be changed.

It would be great to be able to:

• Set the format of the axis label
• Control how many labels are shown on the axis
