Allow to repeat commands once per file

Consider this config:

pre-commit:
  commands:
    vet:
      glob: "*.go"
      run: go vet {staged_files}

Looks reasonable, but does not work: if you stage two files from different directories, we get

named files must all be in one directory

Now, one could argue all day whether that's reasonable behaviour, but it's unlikely to change that standard tool.

Now, repeating the desired command is not hard:

pre-commit:
  commands:
    vet:
      glob: "*.go"
      run: for f in {staged_files}; do go vet "${f}"; done

But wouldn't something like this be nicer?

pre-commit:
  commands:
    vet:
      glob: "*.go"
      run: go vet {staged_file}
      iterate: true

Not sure about the best way of combining flags and template variables here, so that is just an idea.

Hey! Thank you for this suggestion. I see that this makes sense for go vet tool. Do you have any examples of other situations where this can be useful? I believe that bringing new configuration option requries more than one use case. Anyway, I agree that an option is clearer. Luckily, there's a workaround with a for loop 👍

Right now, I can't remember encountering a similar case. At least not in the context of Git hooks.

I agree that it's fair to backlog this to wait and see if more use cases appear! 👍
