Welcome to the secureoperator wiki!
secureoperator is a DNS-protocol proxy for Google's DNS-over-HTTPS. It allows you to run a server on your local network which responds to DNS queries, but requests records across the internet using HTTPS.
secureoperator typically runs on your local trusted network and acts as a forwarder for DNS requests over the open internet, where you want that traffic uninspectable by your ISP, and their upstream providers.
However, secureoperator does not perform any caching on its own, and queries the upstream DNS-over-HTTPS for each DNS request it receives. It's recommended that you put secureoperator behind a caching DNS server, such as dnsmasq.
