Please accept this I can confirm that this solves many problems when using other firebase plugins.

Until the maintainer merges this PR you can install the plugin from my fork:

cordova plugin add https://github.com/macdonst/cordova-plugin-fcm

I've tried this along with #406
not solving issue for iOS.
getting token fine but message is not coming through.

With fcm only, it works fine
