Making content with markdown tutorial - Gitter to Matrix and Slack

That tutorial has a section on including a Gitter link. It should now be matrix, and/or somehow allow links to Slack - my understanding is, for Slack links (including bridges), the user has to first join the GTN Slack workspace, and then navigate from there to the target channel (so 2 steps). Is that right? Is there a better process?
