When trying to emerge minecraft....

Calculating dependencies... done!

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "dev-java/guava:14".
(dependency required by "games-action/minecraft-1.2.1-r5::java" [ebuild])
(dependency required by "minecraft" [argument])

All pre-20 versions of guava were removed from the main repository last year to remove Java 7 support

Is there any way to emerge using just java 8?

Like most of java-overlay, this hasn't been updated in years so don't expect it to work. Sorry. 😢
