run docker on AWS

open a AWS console. 

create a container cluster. "NPS-cluster"

create a repository nps_gina

400233858882.dkr.ecr.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/emodis_ndvi_python

#retrieve the docker login command

aws ecr get-login --no-include-email --region us-west-2


remove aws

sudo pip  uninstall awscli

#install aws

sudo pip install awscli

#run the login command returned by aws ecr get-login --no-include-email --region us-west-2


https://400233858882.dkr.ecr.us-west-2.amazonaws.com

#associate emodis_ndvi_python iamge from local host to https://400233858882.dkr.ecr.us-west-2.amazonaws.com


docker tag emodis_ndvi_python:latest 400233858882.dkr.ecr.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/emodis_ndvi_python:latest

#push this image to aws EC2 Container Service(ECS)

docker push 400233858882.dkr.ecr.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/emodis_ndvi_python:latest
