Description

I wanted to know if, for the next contributions, we can/must the namespaces norm as mentioned in the docs, as It was done in @thehowl 's home, @leohhhn 's home and @moul's example.
I made a PR for my home page under the user name I registered and wanted to know for the next contribution's PRs if I can do it like in this screenshot:

cc @moul

IIRC, eventual desired outcome:

  • {p,r}/ for developing packages and realms under own name; and these can be added without too much trouble
  • {p,r}/demo for "semi-official" packages, which are more "approved" and recommended for common usage.

currently we just started using personal namespaces, and a lot of what is in demo should be moved to personal namespaces.

but in essence, yes, you're welcome to make your packages and realm in your namespace.

We recently became more open about this topic, but we still don't have strict rules. Please submit PRs with a path you think is reasonable. We will review them and let you know if any changes are needed.

Closing this, as I don't think there's an ongoing action aside from "yes, you can make your personal namespace".

@thehowl thehowl closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Nov 6, 2024
