  • Heavy refactoring of pluto code, ongoing work
  • Started to integrate metrics and gokit-logger
  • Docker build is already possible, automatic pushes still have to be fixed
  • Looked into Elasticsearch and Cassandra for how replication is agreed on

• Tim:

  • Created a Vision page for aggregating and organizing contributions
  • Reserved hardware resources in Chair cluster, first kubernetes steps are already done
  • GCE grant received
  • Started blue paper in pluto-verification

  • Thought about contributions, wrote down idea
  • Worked with Matthias on refactoring and extending pluto's code

  • Evaluation: how, in which dimensions, how technically do we need to evaluate the reliability of the services?

  • Lennart:
    • Check and possibly amend Vision
    • Propose a concept/vision/write-up of initial evaluation ToDos and test layouts (wiki page)
    • Clear write-up of high-level flow for IMAP-CRDT-integration for Tim
    • Really make progress with engineering ToDos
    • Send mails with questions to Georges
    • Send setup questions to Dovecot experts
  • Matthias:
    • Check and possibly amend Vision
    • Start deployments for pluto & dovecot on k8s with global scale in mind
    • Add more logging with go-kit logger (for logging json on k8s)
    • Add more metrics
      • Metrics to check how locking state affects pluto's performance
  • Tim:
    • Talk to CIT colleagues how to properly inject failures in large-scale applications
    • Go further in direction of machine-checked proof
