In the session in the ongoing sprint, I got to think a bit on ideas of how we can measure impact. I am not sure that they are totally relevant, but at least with the new Matomo analytics tool, this should be something we could measure.
The idea I had was that we have links (of some of which are outgoing) that is the links that we want our users to click. That is, them clicking the links is what will provide them value. Not all links are equally central to our vision, so I have grouped them in three groups. This grouping could also be discussed.
The groups and measurements are:
Number of people clicking "important links"
Number of people clicking "relevant links"
Number of people clicking "maintenance links"
They are defined by the following:
Important links:
Send email
Citizen's initative
Download
Relevant links:
All platform account links
Official website
Maintenance links:
Report an error
Edit on Wikidata
Issues on GitHub
The open questions are:
Is this a good way of thinking of impact in the first place?
1.1 If so, are the groupings okay?
1.2 Is something missing or placed in the wrong group?
