grain-size-jgr

This repository stores the complete dataset and codebase for the paper submitted to JGR - Earth Surface entitled "Quantifying sediment transport dynamics on alluvial fans from spatial and temporal changes in grain size, Death Valley, California"

The code produced for this paper is nearly all Matlab developed in version 2017a.


Key files

  • preprocess.m - Run first to load raw data from ./2015_data directory

  • make_figures/*.m - Scripts used to produce figures used in manuscript (stored in ./pdfs)

  • process_J.m - Load the custom curve-fitting GUI used to find the best-fit relative mobility parameters (stored in ./jfits)
