Prerequisites

Getting Started

  1. Clone this repo using git clone git@github.com/hrr10-scout-io/scout-io.

  2. Delete the existing git repository by running rm -rf .git.

  3. Initialize a new git repository with git init

  4. Run npm install to install server dependencies.

  5. Run bower install to install front-end dependencies.

  6. Set up your SQL server and add config variables to local.env.js

  7. Run grunt build + nodemon server/index.js or grunt serve to start the development server

  8. Go to http://localhost:9000 and you should see the app running!

Build & development

Run grunt build for building and grunt serve for preview.

Testing

Running npm test will run the unit tests with karma. There are old tests from the Yeoman generator we are currently working on removing.

Styling

Styling can be added with Stylus or traditional CSS. Grunt Build will convert Stylus Files into CSS.
