Hi there,
We're using the ROS driver for our HRI Safety Controller unit and hope to merge our updates upstream here, so that others can benefit from it. Specifically, we brought the driver up to date with ROS 1 Melodic, as well as ported it to ROS 2 Dashing.
However, before we can contribute those changes, we need to be sure that this software is indeed the 3-clause BSD license as it states it is in the headers. We found that even though the headers in the code files match the statement in the 3-clause BSD, they do not explicitly state the 3 clauses. Since all the wording have to be exactly the same for us to judge that it is indeed that license, we updated the headers to more explicitly follow the latest license statement. We also added a top-level
LICENSE
file.If this is acceptable to you, then we can contribute our ROS 1 update and ROS 2 port after this explicit statement of license is merged. Thank you!
